Interview with Sally:
InSynch: Why did you decide to have your Website redeveloped?
Sally: My previous website was looking very dated and we felt that we needed to present a fresh, new image to the world to keep us ahead of our competitors. We needed to integrate an online booking system, make the site interactive and incorporate all the other conveniences the modern, independent traveller has come to expect.
InSynch: What do you hope that the new Website will do for your business?
Sally: I believe, that with this new website, we can turn enquiries and interest into bookings. It is easy and intuitive to navigate and the online booking and secure payment system is simple to use, so those busy people out there can find, book and pay for their break away at their own convenience.
InSynch: How are you promoting your Website at the moment?
Sally: By word of mouth, by being an active part of local tourist networks, written brochures and social media. We also try to support charities with a few nights break here and there as raffle or auction prizes, which has the bonus of raising our profile a bit. We also engage with ‘dog friendly’ groups and other websites where we can have a presence for very little cost. Of course, we have invested in InSynch’s Webcare Plan, which is very effective and a great time saver for me.
InSynch: Are there any lessons that you have learnt about the online marketing of your business? What advice would you give to others?
Sally: I think I have learnt a lot about taking the time to look at Google Analytics and tailor the messages we put out to suit the demographic engaging with us. We have been successful in raising our profile with Facebook but my advice would be to be careful and read everything you have written twice – once it’s out there it’s hard to get it back if you’ve made a mistake! Great quality images and videos are also invaluable.
InSynch: What made you choose to use InSynch to do the work?
Sally: I’ve been working with InSynch for a long time and would not have looked at anyone else to do the work. There is always someone at the end of the phone or email when I need help, advice or reassurance – nothing is too much trouble! The cost is reasonable and the ‘after sales service’ is second to none. Eddy and the team also offer some great training courses which are well worth looking at.
InSynch: And finally, what do you think of the finished Website?
I love it and the feedback we have had has been really positive. I hope customers find the site interesting and informative and gives a flavour of how special a holiday at Blaenfforest can be.
