InSynch currently holds and is actively delivering a pan-Wales contract from the Welsh Assembly Government under its E-Business Support Project.
InSynch has nine named consultants available to work on this contract, based in various locations across Wales.
As part of the E-Business project, InSynch is contracted to provide the following services:
This involves meeting with a business for 2-3 hours to discuss its history and background, establish the current use of ICT, identify any opportunities for improved use of ICT and discuss options for future ICT/Business developments. Following this meeting, a comprehensive ICT report is produced that provides detailed recommendations for improved use of ICT.
Following on from the ICT Diagnostic, businesses can apply for subsidized consultancy from InSynch in order to undertake ICT improvements identified in the Diagnostic.
InSynch initially delivered Opportunity Wales Objective 2 eCommerce Advisory Services in Powys on behalf of Powys County Council. As from 30th June 2007 (to 30th September 2007), InSynch contracted directly with Better Business Wales (Holdings) Limited for the delivery of these services in the county of Powys and, subsequently, InSynch also delivered Opportunity Wales eGrowth services to businesses in Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire (July - December 2008).
For the delivery of Opportunity Wales Objective 2, InSynch developed a robust team of 9 highly-skilled (7 full-time equivalents), impartial advisers to work on the delivery of advisory services and proactively marketed the project throughout the county of Powys, with good effect. InSynch was innovative in instigating interest in the greater adoption of eBusiness and delivered a range of over 30 free talks/seminars/clinics to generate interest in the project. A series of free IT clinics were also staged in conjunction with Powys County Council. InSynch worked closely with Powys County Council and successfully delivered the contract.
InSynch pioneered an IT diagnostic questionnaire that was sent out to over 3,000 businesses in Powys, with the intention of identifying eBusiness needs. This exercise was a great success and generated significant interest in OW2 support, of particular value in a rural, sparsely populated county such as Powys.
InSynch worked hard to raise the profile of the project in the county by actively networking with individual businesses and business support organisations, attending events (such as the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show, Institute of Business Adviser Mid Wales meetings, Mid Wales Manufacturing Group Conference etc.) and collaborating with key stakeholders.
In addition to delivering 632 eCommerce Reviews for clients on this project, InSynch advisers sought to meet implementation support targets through various innovative means, including the delivery of hands-on implementation support workshops with small groups. This was recognized by OW centrally as an example of “best practice” and rolled out to other areas for Local Delivery Partners to implement.
InSynch advisers also worked with clients on Opportunity Wales grant applications and undertook responsible and timely submission of required paperwork, responding quickly to any client and Opportunity Wales queries.
InSynch consistently received high commendation for the quality of the services delivered on this project. Every client review underwent stringent internal quality checking prior to publication, in addition to external quality checks by eCIC.
The company also endeavored to support OW centrally at all times on a regional and national level.
