How to Schedule Tweets from within Twitter

Schedule Tweets through Twitter

Did you know it is possible to schedule Tweets on Twitter without using a third party service like Tweetdeck or Hootsuite? Twitter doesn’t make this obvious or advertise that you can but the feature is there. I have used Hootsuite in the past but to be honest, unless your job involves a huge amount of social media work, it is just overkill and sometimes annoying with the number of constant notifications.

Why schedule posts?

Twitter works best when it is live, fresh and reactive to the day’s events. However, there are times when you have some content to get out there and you intend tweeting it straight away, later in the evening and also over the next few days. This is where scheduling can work well for you as part of a Digital Marketing Strategy.

There is more engagement with brands at the weekends and in the evenings so unless the timing is right, you may be wise to schedule in advance.

Why a Social Media Strategy is Essential for Building Your Brand

Social media marketing is undoubtedly becoming an essential tool for any business. We have achieved great success in the acquisition of relevant traffic and most importantly conversions for many of our clients on our Social Media Marketing Packages. That being said, it’s a common misconception that a few posts now and again will definitely lead to an increase in conversions. The truth is, without developing an organised strategy it’s unlikely that you’ll see great success.

Below are a few reasons why a strong social media presence is important and some tips to help you get the best from it.

Brand Development

Don’t get me wrong, great content should be relevant and focused around your products and services, but it’s also important to let your people know who you are and show your organisation’s personality. This almost always increases engagement and works well to remind your current clients why they’re fond of you.

Finding new clients on LinkedIn – It works!

LinkedIn has become one of my main go to places for my social media fix in the last 12 months. The network has finally begun to mature from a network where you made connections, and were not sure why, or what to do next, to a more serious business network.

If you want, you can connect with me on LinkedIn here https://www.linkedin.com/in/eddywebb1/

For those who are not familiar with LinkedIn, think of it like Facebook for business or professionals. I don’t have many clients who I am friends with on Facebook but I have well over 1,000 who I connect with on LinkedIn. On Facebook you have friends and on LinkedIn you have connections. It is for connecting people in work with similar people in the same industry and used for making Business to Business connections.

Why I prefer LinkedIn to Facebook?

Facebook Like and Share Competitions – Most are unfair and against the rules

There are still Like and Share competitions popping up now and again despite most of them breaking Facebook rules and being totally unfair to those who enter.

Competitions can work but they need to be done correctly, within the rules, and most importantly be done fairly. Sadly most are not.

In my view, any business running a pure Like and Share Competition is running an unfair competition!

Why are they unfair?

  1. It is against Facebook rules to make somebody Like or Share your post/page
  2. Facebook Page Admins cannot see everyone who shares a post or likes a page for privacy reasons

Facebook for Business Doomsday: The Party is Over!

We have been saying for some time now that Facebook has been reducing the reach of Business Pages (how many people see your Facebook posts) and also that Facebook has been testing moving Page content into a separate Explorer feed. This experiment ran in 6 countries and drastically reduced the amount of people seeing posts from pages.

Facebook has been planning the demise of Business Pages in their current form for a while now. Well that day has arrived.

People don’t go on Facebook to buy your products and services!

Think about it… Why are people on Facebook?

People go on Facebook to be entertained by watching videos of cats jumping away from cucumbers (If you haven’t seen it, I have put a link at the bottom of this article).

People go on Facebook to put selfies and other photos on there and see how many likes they get, and worry why it was less than last time.

People go on Facebook to say things like “Oh, what a bad day this has been”, in order to get the inevitable response “what’s wrong hun?”.

People go on Facebook to peer into the lives of their friends, anonymously….

I know I am being a little harsh on Facebook users and perhaps belittling the benefit that people can get from it. I am just trying to make a point. However, the fact still remains, and businesses need to realise it…..

We are Celebrating our 12th Anniversary!

We are celebrating our 12th anniversary today! InSynch was formed on February 10th 2005. As co-founder of the company originally, I recall those nervous first weeks when we waited to see if we had secured a large EU funded contract that would set us up for the next few years. We did win it and have never looked back.

We have changed as business considerably over the years. Mind you, so has technology and online marketing methods.

AT77C104_iPAQ_hx2750_005In February 2005, Facebook was just a small experiment. Twitter had yet to be invented. The launch of the first iphone was some 2 years away…. However, I did have my HP iPaq which had fingerprint log in! Yes its true, logging in with your fingerprint is not new technology….

Our clients

995690_10152887971155720_1083068682_nIn the first 3 years, we provided advice and support to businesses that was funded exclusively by Government and European funded projects. We had a team of 9 IT/Business consultants that worked with over 700 businesses over a 3 year period.

We started providing training in October 2005. Have a look at this poster promoting our tourism the e’factor training events over 11 years ago! Tourism specialism and training were to become strong elements of our business.

Since then we have worked with literally 1000’s of clients. Some of them for almost all of the last 12 years. I have seen businesses blossom, people retire and sell on their business and people gradually adopt digital technologies in their business.

Changing times

All of the staff at InSynch will say that they learn something new every day. Technology is constantly evolving.  As we work with so many clients, we have a vast pool of experience in business and the application of technology to make businesses succeed.

Thank you to all of our clients that we have worked with over the years and thank you too to all of our loyal staff.

Congratulations!
